A Wider Block Paved Driveway

The original driveway provided a narrow route along the side of the bungalow to the detached garage. Alongside it, a grass lawn and older paving divided the frontage into separate areas.

Our team replaced the existing driveway and extended the paved surface across part of the former lawn, creating more usable space for parking and manoeuvring. The new paving runs from the pavement through to the garage, with a coordinated paved approach to the front entrance.

Grey Paving with Contrasting Borders

The driveway features mixed grey block paving laid in a herringbone pattern. The varied shades add character to the surface and complement the bungalow’s brickwork, stone detailing and dark roof.

Charcoal borders frame the driveway, while a lighter grey inset line adds definition around the perimeter. These details give the parking area a crisp finish and continue alongside the gravel section to bring the whole design together.

Decorative Gravel Frontage

The remaining front lawn has been replaced with light-coloured decorative gravel, creating a bright contrast against the darker paving.

Matching block paved edging surrounds the gravel, clearly separating it from the driveway and pavement. Two linked square paving details form a central feature, adding interest while echoing the colours used throughout the project.

Replacing the lawn also removes the need to mow this part of the garden, making the frontage easier to maintain.
