We recently completed a full garden transformation for a client in Monk Bretton, Barnsley, completely refreshing the outdoor space into a low maintenance and visually striking environment.

Project Details

  1. Excavation and Sub-Base Installation:
    We began by removing the existing paving and lawn area to prepare for a full garden transformation. The ground was excavated to the correct levels, and a solid MOT Type 1 hardcore sub-base was compacted across the site to ensure a stable and long lasting foundation.

  2. Porcelain Paving Installation:
    Contemporary light grey porcelain slabs were installed to create a sleek, modern patio that wraps around the property. These tiles offer a premium finish with anti-slip properties, perfect for year-round use. Recessed inspection chambers were carefully integrated for a seamless look.

  3. Contrasting Block Paving Border:
    A bold charcoal block edge was laid around both the patio and artificial lawn areas to define the layout, enhance the design contrast, and give the installation a neat and polished appearance.

  4. Premium Artificial Lawn:
    A luxury-grade artificial grass was laid over a compacted sharp sand base with weed membrane. This provides a lush, green lawn all year round without the need for mowing, watering, or maintenance.
