Resin Bound Driveway | Wakefield

We recently completed a full resin bound driveway transformation for a customer in Sandal, Wakefield. The existing concrete strip driveway and slabbed side path were outdated and uneven. Our client wanted something smarter, smoother, and more modern. We designed and installed a beautiful new resin bound surface complete with black block edging, recessed inspection chambers, and a new step, delivering a sleek finish with added practicality.

Project Details

  1. Full Ground Clearance & Excavation:
    The old concrete runners, turf, and paving slabs were removed. We excavated the area to the required depth to prepare for a brand new foundation. 

  2. Sub-Base & Preparation Works:
    A permeable MOT Type 3 sub-base was compacted across the the full area to provide stability and support for the new resin surface, helping ensure drainage compliance.

  3. Resin Bound Installation:
    We installed a stunning red-stone resin bound surface, which is both durable and low maintenance. The resin provides a smooth and porous finish, perfect for year-round use.

  4. Black Block Edging & Detailing:
    Charcoal block paving was used to edge the entire driveway and front path. This created strong definition and visual contrast against the red resin.

  5. Recessed Inspection Chambers:
    Three recessed inspection chambers were carefully installed and integrated into the resin surface, ensuring essential access without disrupting the visual flow.

  6. New Front Door Step:
    We constructed a new entrance step in matching materials, making access safer and blending seamlessly into the new layout.
